Kathie Lee Gifford is getting ready to exit Today in April, and people have been wondering who is going to take over for her! That being said, rumor has it that it is none other than Jenna Bush Hager!

The woman was in attendance at the Hudson River Park Friends Playground Committee’s Fourth Annual Luncheon at Chelsea Piers, and while there, she chatted with ET about being one of the favorites for the gig.

The 37-year-old woman gushed over the idea, making it very clear that she would love to get the job.

‘It would mean… it would be great. I feel like I have the best job. I get to sit next to these incredible humans, I get to travel the world and meet incredible people who are doing extraordinary things and so we’ll see. We’ll see.’

Current Today anchor Hoda Kotb and Weekend Today anchor Sheinelle Jones were also there and talked to the news outlet.

And while Kotb stated that there was ‘no news to break’ about the one to replace Gifford, she only had good things to say about Bush Hager.

‘Jenna has been filling in for the past month, and she’s been awesome and extraordinary, and she fits. We’re like one big family and I think we all feel that,’ she praised Bush Hager, showing her clear support.

Last month, one insider shared with ET that ‘the likelihood of it going to [Bush Hager] is high, since she is very well liked [at Today].’

That is also around the time Gifford told the outlet that her replacement will be ‘whoever Hoda wants.’

Well, it sounds like Hoda is a big fan of Jenna, so chances are, she will be the one to get the gig. Of course, at this point, nothing has been confirmed so fans will have to wait and see.
