Kristina Mladenovic is a French professional tennis player who has compiled tons of awards in her playing career including numerous singles and doubles titles on the WTA Tour and on the ITF Women’s Circuit. Though winning numerous singles titles have greatly contributed to her overall success, her biggest achievements have all come in doubles, having won the 2013 Wimbledon and 2014 Australian Open mixed doubles titles with Daniel Nestor, the 2016 French Open women’s doubles title with Caroline Garcia, and the 2018 Australian Open, and the 2019 French Open women’s double titles with Timea Babos.

As a player, she demonstrates an all-court playing style and uses variety with her baseline play to score points. Mladenovic’s forehand is the stronger wing, hit both flatly and with topspin. Her backhand comes into view with a solid shot, capable of hitting her two-hander consistently.
She started playing in her junior in May 2006.
In 2007, she became the European Under 14 singles champion.
Her biggest junior achievement was when she won a match against Daria Gavrilova of Russia in 2 sets in the final at the 2009 Junior French Open girls’ singles. On June 8, 2009, she finished at the highest junior ranking no. 1 and advanced to singles and doubles finals at the 2009 Junior Wimbledon.
In September 2007, she started playing in the ITF Women’s Circuit. She tried to qualify for the Open Gaz de France but she lost her first match to Petra Kvitová.
During the 2009 Australian Open, she was qualified as a wild card but was eventually beaten by the no. 14 seed Patty Schnyder. In July, she qualified for the ECM Prague Open but lost the match in the first round to Zarina Diyas.
At the Internationaux de Strasbourg, she won her first match on the WTA Tour, coming from 2-5 in the final set to win the tiebreak in a match against Stefanie Vögele.
She played for France at the 2011 Hopman Cup alongside doubles partner Nicolas Mahut.
In 2009, she turned professional and made her grand slam debut at the Australian Open. She won her first Senior title at $25k in Sutton during which she defeated Mona Barthel. It was followed by another victory in Stockholm a week after, beating Arantxa Rus in the final round.
In 2012, she entered the top 100 rankings for the first time.
In 2019, she and Timea Babos became the defending champions at the Australian Open. Both have made it to the finals of the 2019 French Open and became the number one doubles players in the world. In the final round, they defeated Duan Yingying and Zheng Saisai, winning their 3rd Grand Slam title.
