Nostalgic sounds in music have been a consistent theme in the industry for decades, and LOVRA doesn’t shy away from bringing back the rave from the past and making it new and current in her brand new three-track EP, titled “The House of House”. This marks the follow-up to her previous single, “Can’t Control”.

LOVRA, real name Laura Lüngen, is a talented DJ and producer from Berlin, who captivates audiences worldwide with her unique blend of ’80s, ’90s, and ’00s influences, modern melodies, danceable beats, powerful vocals, and infectious basslines. She has graced renowned festivals such as Tomorrowland, Parookaville, Melt!, World Club Dome, and more. LOVRA’s exceptional talent has led her to secure a residency at David Guetta’s BIG party in Ibiza for two years in a row at the globally-known venue Ushuaia, and she has gone on to perform at Ministry of Sound clubs across the globe and has been a part of the iconic brand as part of their DJ roster for over six years. Sharing stages with esteemed acts like Claptone, Todd Terry, Armand Van Helden, Dom Dolla, and Sonny Fodera, LOVRA has established herself as a sought-after artist – even managing to be David Guetta’s support act on his Europe tour. She’s amassed millions of Spotify streams, managing to score over 12.6 million streams for her remix of AVAION’s single “Pieces”, making it her most-streamed track on the platform, above her single “Love Sensation” which has 3.5 million Spotify streams. She sure knows how to rack in those numbers, and is quickly becoming a much-celebrated rising star in the EDM world.

Talking about the EP, LOVRA said: “Each track is a reflection of my passion for the 90s and 00s electronic rave scene. This EP is a nostalgic tribute to the era with iconic sounds and grooves that come straight from the bottom of my heart. I hope these tracks will touch and connect with people on the dance floor and create new memories together. Additionally, I’m grateful to Repopulate Mars for their support in bringing this EP to life and hope that it will become a staple in the playlists of electronic music fans worldwide.”

The EP kicks off with the title track, “The House of House”, which allows LOVRA to instantly impress with a progressive tech-house track that starts off industrialised before twisting into an energetic rave dance party making this perfect for any house party playlist. “Sonic” follows next with a sample from the iconic 1997 rave track “Sonic Empire” by Members of Mayday (which even charted at number one in Germany and made it onto the charts in Austria, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and the UK), which is groovy in every way possible, whilst keeping the signature industrialised beats, complexing it all up giving it an addictive rhythm that is certain to make a lasting impression on all its listeners.

The EP then wraps up with the final track, titled “Do What You Do”, which has a festival rave atmospheric vibe going for it, giving some highly catchy Detroit-inspired vocals wrapped around techno elements and an unstoppable driving bassline. All three tracks are stunning in their own right, easily showcasing LOVRA’s incredible DJ ability, and it’s not a surprise that she continuously racks in millions of streams. “The House of House” EP is one of those that will effortlessly stand the test of time and deserve placements on rave playlists, set to stand out for all the right reasons.
